Vintage Timberworks has been providing fine aged reclaimed wood for over 27 years. Our vintage wood is sold to both residential and commercial projects around the world in volumes both large and small. Custom milling options are available or the antique wood can be sold “as is” to be cleaned up or milled on site. Products include solid timbers, custom box beams, fireplace mantels, vintage planks and boards, exquisite solid and engineered wide plank rustic flooring, exterior siding and decking, prefabricated timber trusses and more. Ideally located off the 15 freeway between San Diego and Riverside County, Vintage Timberworks regularly supplies projects in Orange County, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Francisco Bay Area, and Napa Valley as well. Auxiliary showrooms in Cabo San Lucas and Sun Valley Idaho service the Baja Peninsula as well as the Pacific Northwest. Offering only true “vintage” reclaimed and recycled wood sourced around the world, our inventory of over 1.5 million board feet of boards and beams ensures the ability to supply the right fit for your project. Our rustic wood products can be a great addition to just about any style whether it’s a modern beach house or modern farmhouse on the coast of Del Mar, La Jolla, Malibu, or Carmel or a Tuscan estate in Rancho Santa Fe, Montecito, or Hollywood Hills, or a commercial project like a restaurant, brewery, or hotel looking to incorporate some wood with authentic rustic character, we can custom tailor the wood to suit the project. Species include (but are not limited to) Douglas fir, Cedar, Redwood, White Oak, Red Oak, Chestnut, Walnut, Teak, Poplar, Indonesian Ironwood, Australian Hardwoods, and more.
In the right conditions, wooden logs buried underground for millions of years slowly transform into petrified wood. Trapped underground where oxygen and bugs cannot accelerate the log’s decomposition, ground water slowly flows through and around these logs bringing the surrounding sediments with it. As the wood slowly decays, it is replaced with these sediments to create a three-dimensional fossil of the logs in shape and form down to their cell structure. When this fossilized wood is found, it can be cut into a variety of shapes to make stunning table tops, bowls, sinks, shelving, stand alone art pieces, and more. If you’re looking for a large volume cut to custom specifications, please do not hesitate to call and speak with our knowledgeable staff.
MAXIMIZING OUR PRECIOUS RESOURCES
Everything we do at Vintage Timberworks is focused on attention to detail and making the most with our limited resources while also minimizing our carbon footprint. As petrified wood is an extremely rare and precious resource, we strive to use as much of the small cutoff pieces that are generated in the production mill as possible. These small pieces are used as beautiful coasters, tiles, and mosaic works to be cherished for generations to come.
