We offer a wide selection of solid reclaimed wood fireplace mantels that have been selected for character, before being cut and sanded. Dozens are available in our showroom for hand selection and can typically be taken home the same day—no appointment necessary.
Each mantel is cut from authentic antique timber, often more than 100 years old, salvaged from barns, warehouses, and industrial structures across the United States. Every piece is unique and may feature original saw marks, hand-hewn texture, checking, knots, and naturally aged patina, or may be milled smooth—giving each mantel its own distinct character.
Processed pieces are typically available in lengths up to 8′ in a wide range of sizes, textures, and tones. For those looking for longer pieces, thinner material, or prefer to mill and cleanup on their end, we also offer a large selection of reclaimed boards and raw timbers throughout our showroom and five-acre lumber yard.
What to expect
How it works:
- Large inventory available for hand-selection in our showroom
- In-stock pieces are solid reclaimed wood, ready for purchase
- Prices vary but most processed mantels typically range from $600-$900 each
- Processed mantels are sold unfinished (clear and tinted wax finishes available separately)
- Custom mantels (with or without corbels) are available upon request – lead time applies
- Miscellaneous unworked boards are also available for shelving projects or smaller mantels in 1” and 2” thicknesses
Before your visit:
- Our selection varies significantly in color, texture, and character. As these pieces are typically a major focal point, all mantels must be selected in person by the customer or their representative.
- Mantels are solid wood only (no hollow construction)
- Corbels are only offered as part of custom mantel orders
- Mounting hardware is not included
- Mantels are supplied unfinished (wax sold separately)
- If raw timber is selected from the yard:
- Timber billed at actual full length and size
- Final cleanup and milling to be completed by customer
