Reclaimed Hardwood Beams Salvaged From Antiquated Barns
Original Sawn Barn Timber
These are true antique beams sourced from 19th and 20th century barns across the Eastern United States, showcasing mill-marks, patina, & joinery marks. This authentic character is only found in real vintage timber.
Often including a mix of hardwood species, this material reflects how these barns were originally built using locally harvested trees that were hand-squared into structural timbers on site.
These timbers typically range from 6×6 up to 12×12, with lengths occasionally reaching 40’. Each piece features original circular sawn texture, along with markings from mortise and tenon joinery and a naturally aged, rich patina.
Most timbers are supplied as a processed order, which typically includes surface washing, milling one face flat for installation, light detail sanding on exposed surfaces, and optional mortise filling.
Individual timbers may be hand-selected from our yard in their raw, as-received condition for customers who prefer to handle cleanup and milling on-site. However, orders for multiple beams are typically provided as processed packages to achieve the appearance shown throughout our installation galleries.
For customers looking for a light-weight version of this look, we also provide these as hollow box beams at an additional cost.
