The Vintage Difference
Not All Box Beams Are Created Equal…
Many box beams offered elsewhere are constructed using pieced-together short and narrow boards, or built with new lumber, veneers, or synthetic materials. These methods can result in more visible seams or shorter runs, differing from the appearance of true, solid long-length timbers. In these cases, added design elements such as metal strapping are used to address transitions or conceal joints; however, the overall effect can fall short for projects seeking a high-end, cohesive, and authentic result. At Vintage Timberworks, we pride ourselves in providing the most realistic looking faux beams that offer full-length spans and mimic the look of solid timber when using whole, solid timber is not an option.
Our approach to fabricating box beams is to produce the most realistic and authentic looking set of material that is virtually indistinguishable from solid antique timber. When details matter this approach is paramount.
